What is it?

How does it work?

During a well woman exam at Feliz Family Medical Clinic, our healthcare provider will begin by discussing your medical history and any current concerns you may have. They will then perform a physical examination, including a breast and pelvic exam. A pap smear is taken by gently scraping cells from the cervix to check for abnormal or cancerous cells. An HPV test is also performed at the same time, which checks for the presence of high-risk strains of the human papillomavirus.
